Sex Kitten Wicked Wax Massage Candle – Review

In keeping with the massage product reviews from Pleasure Galaxie, I tried the Sex Kitten Wicked Wax Massage Candle. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of massage candles, basically what you’re dealing with is a candle, usually made of soy, which melts into a warm, usable massage oil after being lit.

Massage candles are something I, as a massage professional, don’t typically use on the general public. However, in private, massage candles are a fun adjunct in the realms of both massage and foreplay. The trick to finding one you like depends on what exactly you and your partner are looking for. Are you looking for a slick, long lasting oil? Are you looking for something scented? If so, are you ok with both fragrance and essential oils?

The difficult thing to explain about massage candles is, though a candle may have good ingredients, it may not lend well to actually becoming a massage oil. I’ve tried some candles that had fairly decent ingredients, like grape seed and shea oils, but has ended up feeling like I was trying to give a massage with a melted candle.

The Sex Kitten Wicked Wax Massage candle is one that happened to have amazing ingredients and worked decently as a massage oil. It is made of: soybean oil, hemp seed oil, jojoba oil, shea oil, grape seed oil, vitamin E, and fragrance/flavor oil.

You all know my complaints about fragrance oils by now, but when you’re dealing with a flavored massage candle, the flavor oil is typically the fragrance itself. This is the case with the Sex Kitten Wicked Wax candle I tried. The flavor/scent Pleasure Galaxie sent to me is called “Divalicious Chocolate” and it smells EXACLTY like….you guessed it…chocolate!

The candle, which comes in an attractive 4 oz. tin, is labeled as an edible massage oil candle. Now, bear in mind, this candle doesn’t taste like chocolate syrup…it has merely a hint of flavor. Subtle. Exactly the way the scent is.

The scent emanating from the candle is just enough for you to detect that there is, indeed, a scent. It is very low key, and inviting. In my opinion, there is little worse than an overpowering scent, and you’re certainly spared from that unpleasantness with the Sex Kitten Wicked Wax candle.

So, how did it perform as an oil? Pretty good. I wouldn’t say it’s the best massage I’ve given, nor is it the easiest oil to use, but it worked sufficiently. And, it made my partner taste delicious. The complaint I have is that it tends to be on the sticky side. Once it absorbs, the stickiness does not linger, but while it’s “wet”, it has a very tacky texture.

The scent, the taste, and the ingredients all make this a worthy purchase if you’re in the market for a private use massage candle. It also comes in other flavors/scents, so if you’d like to try one, check them out! Thanks to Pleasure Galaxie for sending me this candle to review and carrying such great massage products!
